🌀 How to Synthesize Wisdom Like a Wizard
Insights into money & meaning, ego development theory, the meta-crisis and the synthesizing mind
The question of how can we create meaningful work that can sustain our lives? is one I’ve been grappling with for years.
I’ve pursued meaning and I’ve pursued money and I’ve realized that aligning these aspects is crucial for creating the impact that I desire in my heart.
I’ve explored this topic with Layman Pascal in our How to Bridge Money and Meaning in the Liminal Space session and it’s a dialogue that I continue in my latest podcast episode with master synthesizer Kyle Kowalski.
Kyle is an ex-marketing exec who quit the corporate world to pursue work that felt more aligned with his soul.
In the next couple of years, he built up an impressive knowledge base and readership around holistic human development.
He’s thought deeply about many topics including money and meaning and we spend a portion of our conversation extracting insights around how he’s aligned these aspects in his life.
Later our dialogue extends into our shared interest in ego development theory and the meta-crisis.
Finally, we explore Kyle’s new Synthesizer course which can help you go from drowning in a sea of information to synthesizing wisdom like a wizard.

"Money or profit are a byproduct of meaning or purpose. If you find meaning and purpose first, you have the lever of an optional byproduct of monetizing it."
On Work & Play:
“Work is what is energy depleting for you while play is what is energy regenerating for you.”
“Procrasination is no longer a problem when passion is at play”
On Lifelong learning:
"Questioning leads to learning leads to developing, and that development of yourself leads to new questioning... It's just this flywheel process that is never-ending."
On Ego Development Theory :
"For me, ego development is a very practical way to look at how people grow and change over time. It's like a lens through which you can understand your own and others’ developmental journeys."
"I had discovered the map later, and it just matched the path I had already been on."
